The deceased was identified as Masud Hossain, 45, was a businessman, son of Delwar Hossain, hailing from Kollandi village in Sadar upazila of Chandpur.

Shamshul Alam, sub-inspector (SI) of Jatrabari Police Station, said that the passenger bus of ‘Thikana Paribahan’ hit the motorcycle from behind on which Masud was riding in front of Shanir Akhra Dania University College at 10:00 am, leaving him injured.Later, locals took the injured to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) but he succumbed to his injuries at 12:00 pm while undergoing treatment, he said.
